I love when I get the message that mama is in labor and that baby will be arriving soon. It’s like being in on a beautiful secret. And then when I hear that baby has arrived and all are doing well, I can’t stop smiling. I feel so much joy when a family is welcoming a new member ❤

The best part of all, being chosen to document such a special time. I know having photos taken less than 24 hours after giving birth doesn’t seem that high on your list of things you would like to do, but you’ll treasure the photos forever. My kids are 4 and 3 and I already have a hard time remembering what those first 48 hours of their life were like…and take it from me, I wish more than anything that I would have had that time documented. Fresh 48 sessions, they’re something special.

Okay, speaking of new family members, McKenna and Andrew welcomed their first baby into the world on March 1st…
